MBA 30 Emerging Entrepreneur Awards 2025

By the end of 2025, ten cohorts will have completed the MBA 30 programme — and one standout founder will be crowned the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year.

The awards recognise bold, innovative Black-owned businesses with the potential to scale, create employment, and positively impact society. They are part of the Black British Initiative’s mission to boost social mobility and unlock entrepreneurial talent.

From all applications, 12 finalists will be selected and featured in Metro’s national print and digital platforms, reaching 5 million daily readers and 50 million monthly page views.

Finalists will compete across four categories: Beauty & Wellness, Art & Creativity, Fashion, and Technology. One winner will be chosen in each.

All 12 gain national exposure. The four category winners secure a guaranteed pitch to the CEO of DMG Ventures, with the chance to access £250,000 to £1.5 million in funding, subject to DMG’s criteria.

This is more than an award – It is a launchpad for the next generation of Black entrepreneurial excellence and triumph.
